Everything you need to know about GapRadar
GapRadar analyzes competitor app reviews to find market opportunities. You give us an App Store or Google Play URL, we scrape the reviews, and our AI identifies what users are complaining about. Then we turn those complaints into actionable product ideas with scoring and validation.
You could read reviews manually, but it would take hours or days to get through hundreds of them. GapRadar does it in about 60 seconds. Plus, we cluster similar complaints, score opportunities by demand and profitability, and give you product concepts and monetization strategies—not just a pile of random complaints.
Anything on the App Store or Google Play. SaaS tools, productivity apps, fitness trackers, finance apps, games—if it has reviews, you can analyze it. The best results come from apps with lots of users and mediocre ratings (think 3-4 stars).
Yes. You get 3 free analyses when you sign up. No credit card required. If you want more, upgrade to Pro for $14.99/month and get 40 analyses plus advanced features like the AI advisor.
If you're on the free plan and use all 3, you'll need to upgrade to Pro. Pro users get 40 analyses per month, and they reset on your billing date. If you somehow run through all 40, reach out to us—we can work something out.
Absolutely. Cancel whenever you want. You'll keep access through the end of your current billing period. If you cancel in the first 7 days and aren't happy, we'll refund you.
We use Claude AI to analyze reviews, and it's pretty good at spotting patterns and clustering similar complaints. That said, it's not perfect. Use the opportunities as a starting point, not gospel. The real value is in the user quotes—those are straight from actual people.
Usually around 60 seconds, sometimes up to 2 minutes if the app has a ton of reviews. We scrape, analyze, and score everything in real-time.
Yes. All users can export to PDF. Pro users can also export to JSON if you want to process the data programmatically.
It happens. If an app has mostly happy users and no clear gaps, we'll tell you that. Not every competitor is worth analyzing. Try a different app in the same category, or one with a lower rating.
We look at how many people are complaining about the same thing (demand), how frustrated they seem (intensity), how realistic it is to build (feasibility), and how likely they are to pay for a solution (monetization potential). Each opportunity gets a score from 1-100.
Not necessarily. The score helps you prioritize, but you should also consider what you're good at building, how much time you have, and whether the opportunity aligns with your goals. A lower-scored niche opportunity might be perfect for you.
No. It's useful for anyone looking to build or validate a product—founders, product managers, consultants, even non-technical people who plan to hire developers. If you're trying to figure out what to build or whether there's demand for an idea, GapRadar helps.
